Today’s environment of constant change has created new barriers in the classroom. In addressing some of these needs, Sharon’s teacher’s workshops delivers immediate problem-solving answers for some of the teachers’ toughest classroom management problems by:

Research suggests moving away from traditional learning models that are generic and lecture based and toward models of interactive learning challenges that engage teachers directly in the practices they are learning, which are more effective. Sharon’s workshop was designed to improve learning for educators and students, to keep teachers up-to-date on new educational research, and to immerse them in the types of learning activities and environments they will ultimately create for their students. Teachers engage in activities to simulate their expertise about literacy, while also analyzing texts to identify potential literacy challenges for learners. |
